Introduction to Good Food Village Square

In both ancient and some illumined current cultures, the village square has served as a marketplace for the exchange of goods and ideas. It is a social space for connection, learning, dialogue, and friendship. On the first day of FAS 2008, the Good Food Village Square had:

Explored the questions in the Good Food System from multiple perspectives: What is working? What do we not know?
Brought real work into the room to inform the work of the conference.
Grounded the gathering in real projects for real change.
Supported leadership and strategic direction of projects and individuals.
Supported the collective learning of the Good Food System.
Built a shared sense of who we are together.
